I have the same.
Caps tied to the back of the tone pots, and to the outside lug. Then my switch wires are on the outside lugs of the volume pots. See below.
So it's 50s wiring/independent volumes, but with the caps tied back?
Why tie it back anyway, and introduce new wires (shown in blue) in the process?
