Thanks for the input. He is running a Fender Reverb. I do run the AX7's. Currently have JJ's in it. I will try dropping down to an AT7. But I know he runs AX7's in his amp. Is there anything in the wiring that could increase the sensitivity like that? Or does it have to be tubes? It's just strange to me that the amp seems like it's amplifying the pickups. I know that is what it's suppose to do but not to this extent. Others who have played through my amp have remarked the same thing.

I have an amp guru about 20 mins from me. I am going to run it down to him and have him dig into it and see if there is a solution.

Fire any other ideas if you have them.
