I just picked up a 92 Classic. I know the bridge pickup is a 500t because it ohms at 15k, says gibson USA on the back and is hotter than @%^*$%$. My neck pickup has a stamped pat # on it, ohms at about 8.5K and is super smooth and sweet. Is this a 496R? or ? Can anyone tell me the production numbers of Classics, expecially 1992 model? Any chance this is a brazilian? It sure has a sweet fretboard. This has the nicest neck I've played. Even better than my 75 Wine red Custom.
