I guess there are a LOT of refugees here from that other place. I see that members who used to predominate some of the better discussions are now here with the same handle...that's nice to see.

Can someone please tell me how long THIS forum has been going? It seems to have a pleasant admin philosophy, and not be quite as big on 'law enforcement' Anything I should know concerning protocols or behaviours?
'Arrived here because for some reason my Broadband provider's firewall started preventing access to THAT OTHER Forum, and I was attempting to circumvent the filter...ended up here...and liked it, so registered. Also, Bobby Lee (the 'no drill' PG guy) mentioned this forum to me in a n email as a more pleasant place to play than 'elsewhere'.
Probably should say something of myself:
Currently 2 LP's..'84 dot Studio Standard, and an '05 Faded 'burst; ES 335 in cherry; Clapton 'Blackie' Strat reissue. P-Bass (please don't ask) b, 'couple old Kay/Harmony semi-acoustics. Martin D18, 'several old Yamahas, a Taylor or two...Amps: 2 Fender Twins, Marshall 30, Randall model 210..... not much else to tell.
- Attorney in regulatory practice. Wife is a schoolteacher...two kids in College (snowing in Seattle right now by the way - daughter there). I'm originally from UK; moved to US (Conn) at age 10...now fully American, and a HUGE BOSOX fan!
Anyway, I'll try to contribute here constructively, and hope everyone will cut me some slack. I don't take myself very seriously, and I'm not the world's foremost authority on LP's (pretty damned close on Maritime Law, though..lol), and sometimes ask pretty basic questions.
