There are only a couple thousand bursts in the world - and everyone wants one. Unfortunately, they go to the highest bidder.

You'll need to pour through the vintage section and read some threads! Old growth Honduran mahogany isn't available like it was in the 50's, Brazilian rosewood is almost impossible to come by, proper finishes and glues are no longer used by Gibson, and that is just for starters!

If I could afford the $200k for that guitar - which I can't - but if I could, I'd strongly consider it! I'd be more likely to spend $50-70k on a P90 Gold Top.

If you're looking at a playability to price formula, vintage is not the way for you to go!
