Your experience is what's so bizarre - all three guitars probably went through the supposedly same QA process for fit/finish. My Carvins were superb, my Taylors were superb, my Classic Custom was in great shape overall as well yet so many people have issues.
As a manager, I have to wonder what criteria is used to measure those QA folks' job performance at review time...
