There are but 8 notes...how long does it take?
One hour - sit there and look and "translate" it for an hour, you'll be fluent by the end of the hour.
It helps to remember that as you move an octave in any direction the note is on the other place - meaning if the note is on the space, an octave higher or lower and it is on the line.
