"Gruhns Guide To Vintage Guitars" Is a great starting book, I open that one a bit. Its more about USA models and specs though, very handy to have. Stewmacs videos are good, missing some key parts but very knowledgable. Hands on is the best approach, get in there and do it, mistakes will be made and lessons learnt. The more literature you can get the better but they add up, just be ready for some $$
