An R7 Les Paul Custom is hard to beat. You should add that to your list! Nice warm and mellow sound, and fat neck (mine is very similar to my R8's neck).

R8's are sweet guitars, too! I like the chunky necks. And with a plain top, preferably. Don't fancy flames that much, myself.

I had an R0 for a while, but didn't like it at all. It felt "steely" and was really very trebly to my ears. I'm glad I got rid of it.

R9's - pfft! All the hype around the R9 puts me off in the first place. And they're just too fancy-pantsy-flamey for my personal tastes. And hellishly more expensive.

I'm sure they are all very good guitars - each to his own. You just need to find the one which wants you to find it.
