But you're right. It was just thrown together quickly, and if you listen to some of the tracks individually, you can really hear some of that hesitation, because of it being something I hadn't practiced and the lack of feel from the drums.
Try adding a click track or a metronome into the recording process. It helps a LOT. The song sounds great man! As with anything else, the best way to get better at it is to keep practicing and trying different things.
