I just thought of this, but there's a big musicstore in Cologne.
They sell handmade, in Poland, PRS copies for about 660€ to 2K€.

If you save up, you can get a handmade piece for about the same or a little bit more then a PRS SE.

I've played these and I want one. I happen to live close to Cologne, about one hour drive so I've visited this store quite a few times.

Here are some models. Personally I'd go for a yellow hardtail loaded with Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers. These are also equipped with coiltapping and a acoustic bridge.
