I only turned down a mid 70s SG because the neck was tiny in my hands and I couldn't play without hitting the other strings. But it wasn't a bad thing it was more of a wider neck issue lol. I've liked SGs in all their guises enough to buy various models, once they're set up right they play like nothing else.
