I was really impressed by the Duncan. There are probably several winders on here that can do something similar.
My only reservation about 57's is, I have a very old one, early 90's. It sounds incredible. I am not sure the newer ones sound as good. However, on the ETSG forum SG Guitar Forum - everythingSG.com , there are a lot of people that agree that 57 Classics sound great in an SG.

I've heard clips of players using that '78 pup into an old plexi, 45, or modern clone. It really did sound great. Many of them wanting to just nail that early VH tone... but some of them showcasing a vast versatility of that pup! But they also had incredible amps, perfect guitars, the best pedals, and were flat out great players!!!
I can play competently enough, and I have some nice gear. Things just seem to rarely sound quite the same when I try them in my setup. But that points me in a good direction!!! Maybe GC will have a 57 mispriced!!!

I could bite the bullet on a SD 78, I bet they're a bit pricey???
What would you mate that '78 with in the neck pos???
Well, and same ?? with the 57? Or do they make calibrated Br/Neck versions?
