Today I have been remembering a project I was involved with some time ago. The band was called Los Flamingos, based in inland southern Spain and the purpose of the band was to recreate the sounds of so many great bands in the Californian 60s but with a Spanish twist... so we got a Strat and a Jaguar with massive thick strings, a Fender outboard reverb and a Twin Reverb with some old JBL speakers and there we went!!!

the sound is lofi but I truly enjoyed recording it!
The demo got excellent reviews including a passionate mention by Phil Dirt and some of the songs were used in the Sci-Fi film "Planeta Atlón". My role was more getting the right tones but I did play guitar in a few places.
