I purchased it back in May of 2011 at GC. I had a 15% off coupon from where I don't remember. Gibson guitars are excluded with GC coupons. I told the manager at GC that if he accepted the coupon I would purchase the guitar. He agreed and I got the guitar for $1700.00 brand new in the box with the snakeskin case. I guess some GC will accept the coupons. The Les Paul Traditional Pro is exclusive to GC and MF. I heard they made a limited run of the goldtops. MF is running a 15% off right now but they don't list the goldtop. Look in the Platinum Guitars Section at GC online. They have them for sale in some stores if you are interested in this guitar.
