dude thats awesome. My first electric was the famed Ibanez lp copy. This is a great place to hang out and learn. Just a word of advice, practice often but always pratice correctly. Start slow and then slowly speed things up.

When tuning your guitar get used to tuning the low E string then when you can practice tuning the rest of the guitar by ear. This is very important you will train your ear to really hear the different notes and then you can use this to start learning songs off the radio...better ear, quicker it is to pick out notes.
