No sir.
Barney Frank for starters should be prosecuted, with a long line behind him.
A GOP man myself, I cannot absolve the Republicans of any wrong-doing.
The Democrats are too stupid/selfish to care about complicated big picture stuff, while the Republicans who KNEW did little but sound the alarm and then walk away.
Shit-heads on BOTH sides of the aisle, but those with their hands ALL OVER IT should swing from a rope.....
The wife and I discussed exactly this last night.
With the money we make, it's a shame we don't have all the toys our friends and co-workers have.
We live in a nice solid home that we paid a good price for.
Both of our trucks have over 100,000 miles on them but they're in great shape.
They will be in the garage for years to come.
I paid cash for every guitar and gun I own.
My 26" color TV is 22 years old.
My computer was free from work.
All my clothes come from Wal Mart, my wife buys much of hers at Goodwill.
I have no fancy electronic gadgets beyond my Ipod I got as a gift.
We live comfortably with no flash or glitz in our lives.
I was in Texas in the eighties, the economy and housing market were MUCH worse than this.
I KNOW what a bad economy looks like, and we ain't there - yet...

Starting from the bottom: that's what scares me. We aren't there yet, but are we headed there?? Every day a new tonic is offered to cure our ills, but will the sickness run its course anyway and yet here we are left with the bills for all the miracle cures that didn't work.
Above that, what is galling is that you (and many others) will pay for those toys others bought and the commissions paid on wall street. We will. In one way or another we will. Higher taxes, higher debt load, loss of jobs, in some way we'll pay.
It's too depressing for me to write about.
