the date on the pots is the date pots were manufactured and not the date the guitar was manufactured, there is a lag time, which is the difference between the time pots were manufactured and the time Gibson used them in a guitar, this lag time can be any were from two months to over a year, so the date on the pots can not be used to accurately date a Gibson guitar.
