Re: Burstbucker Pro vs Burstbucker Type 3 vs '57 Classic Plus ---HELP!

Oddly i recently had all three in same lp. My rundown:

In bridge position:
C57+: warmest and most vintage sounding. Very smooth. Not tight on low end.
BB3: Thickest. Smooth too but with more highs than 57+. Less vintage than 57+, distorts very nicely - like a more agressive 57+ but still warm.
BB Pro: Thinnest. Tightest. Least warm. Harshest.

In neck:
C57: vintage, weakish, kinda thin. too warm for this position. Lacks a certain bite i like in neck.
BB Pro: Great vibe - strong fluid tone - thick and sustainy. Love it.
Great bite.

I ended up 57+ bridge and BB Pro neck. Great combo. I would estimate a BB2 in neck wpuld sound good too.

This is my take with a trad plus LP.

Good luck...
