I'll add to this that the serial number on the headstock for these reissues will be <reissue year><last digit of year of manufacture>XXXX
There shouldn't be an "R" in the serial number.
So for example an R9 made in 2010 will be 90XXXX and an R8 made in 2009 will be 89XXXX.
