My R8 was Plekked from Gibson - and played well - but my Lutheir did wonders for its playability with a good setup and some nut work. The plek machine cut the nut - but damn were those nut slots high! My luthier took them way down, gave me a little more relief in the neck, and the setup was just amazing. The fretwork was great - it was the other stuff that needed some adjustment.
