It was on TV, and I don't even know the name of the song...it must have been pretty new, the band was almost death metal, which I usually find just irritating.

This has happened to me with several other musicians, especially guitarists. I never really appreciated how good Mick Mars is till a few years ago, and discovering his real talent led me to CC DeVille, who I think is VERY under rated not only as a guitarist but as a writer, especially when sober. I think I got put off by the glam aspect and overlooked how good these guys actually are. But I have a lot of respect for all these guys now.
