OK, sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to gather all the information I can before I rewire next week. I have simplified the drawing posted earlier to match my setup.



Imagine all the white area under the pots is copper shielding. Should I run a ground wire from the "star" to the copper shielding? Or does this drawing contradict what you mentioned in your post?

Again, I greatly appreciate all the help.
