Re: Pickups -- what's stock on an Epi?
I remember hearing that the epiphone stock pickups on the les paul were hot wound and a common complaint seems to be that they're too muddy which makes tone clarity a bit of a problem.
But honestly, it's kind of subjective....if you think your guitar sounds great with the pickups in them, then you might want to ask if changing them is right for you.
