Pickups -- what's stock on an Epi?

Hi, I have a problem: I want to replace the pickups in my Epi Les Paul Standard Plus. I'm looking for a warm, full tone and I think the pickups that will do that for me will be Classic 57s.

But I have to admit, I'm a little afraid of re-buying the same pickups that the guitar came with! As most people who post here will know, those are 'Alnico Classic' pickups. I can't find any more specific information by googling, because every reference basically turns out to be "Epiphone Les Paul with Alnico Classic pickups". The salespeople around here don't seem to know either.

Since 'Classic' and 'Classic 57' don't sound that terribly different, I want to be sure -- am I going to be getting something better if I buy those Classic 57s??

Thanks for any insight anyone can give me.
