I can't vouch for the guitar scratch remover, but i've used Meguiars scratch-X with good results.

You need an abrasive, which will remove finish from the guitar. Whenever using an abrasive, always use the least abrasive product you can get away with. You won't need a lot of cut to take that micromarring out. Scratch-X will be more than enough. Don't overdo it, the guitar has a finite amount of finish on it.

Use a microfiber towel, and turn to a clean area often. Use Gibson "polish" afterwords.
