Aloha

I am looking for a nice bluesy amp for screwing around in the man room and looking for suggestions. I currently have a Vox VT30 and it's ok but with alot of room for improvement as I am having a tough time getting any real blues sound out of it. I like the old vintage sound my friend gets out of his Fender Black Face twin reverb (original) and was leaning for a twin reverb reissue or a fender blues Jr something along those lines.

Anyone got any suggestions beyond a Fender - something off the wall or a better Idea? My budget is about $1k +/- a little.
