Re: The 2011 LP Traditional (Standard?) Faded Mega-Thread
The first time I asked Gibson what these Canadian fadeds were they told me they were Standard fadeds. After getting back to Gibson with my serial number and the Yorkville and Gibson model numbers and noting that these Canadian fadeds have speed knobs, not gold top hats and asking specifically about the pickups, here is the information I got back from them just now:
"Sorry for the confusion on my part. This is indeed a Les Paul Traditional Faded model. This is made as a dealer exclusive for Yorkville Sound, and has the same specs as the Les Paul Traditional, but with a satin finish and open coil Burstbucker Pro humbuckers."
So, until someone can open up one of these fadeds and get a photo of the pickups, Gibson is saying they have Burstbucker Pro humbuckers.
Also, I just noticed on some of the other threads this morning that two of the actual owners did pop their PUs and they do say PROS.
