Not quite understanding ohms at all is it better to run the 2 cabs Ive got (16ohms) straight from the 2 8ohm sockets or to 'chain' them together?? Or doesnt it make much difference?

Won't make any difference....buth ways puts the cabs in parallel and results in 8 ohms....
Personally I plug into the head if there are 2 plugs - personal preference.....results in a shorter cable run to the 2nd cab...
