For now, these are all the clamps that I have, but when I work with Maple and mahogany, I will get some more. But, I've seen a lot of threads and they all just use clamps. However, I saw that Gibson wraps the guitars with fabric- I would go for using large elastic strips (bicycle inner tubes?). Do you think that would be a good option if I made sure the two slabs were exactly the same by routing and using the same template?

Thanks for the grinder idea, by the way, I have a grinder that would work.
