it wasn't that many years ago that people were saying the same thing about '68s and '69s, was it?

IMO the pre-75 Customs with the mahogany neck and trans tenon are the most desirable, others may have different opinions. I agree the market is confusing on them, but I have seen '74s listed as high as $7K. Course, we know listing doesn't mean selling price, but that is where the market appears to be heading.

And when it comes to collectibles, mint always commands a higher price.
