Peavey Delta Blues 210 feedback issue.

Hello all,

Last night I fired up the ole Peavey amp and noticed a dull hum, the longer the amp stayed on, the louder the hum grew. So, I unplugged and tried a different outlet. Same issue, so I tried switching to the dirty channel, same thing. So I did a little investigating and I figured out what was causing all the noise. My reverb was cut up to 10 and as I slowly dailed it back the hum died down. Now, of course I never have my reverb that high (not sure how it got there to begin with). I normally keep it at 3 or 4 wich pretty much eliminates MOST of the hum.

I have never noticed this hum before last night and I havn't done any modifications to the amp. I was just wondering if anyone may be able to tell me why this may be happening. I used the amp on Sunday at practice and all was well. Could a tube be causing this? I was gonna switch out all the tubes when I get home today just to test.

The reverb is definately causing the amp to hum, just not sure why. Any input would be appriciated.

PS- I did not have any pedal effects running when this happened, I was running from my guitar straight into the amp. I did however try and hook up my noisegate to see if it would cut out the noise but nothing doing. I actually completely disconnect my guitar from the amp and still had the hum.....very odd.
