i think unless your really unhappy with either guitar then maybe try learning to set up your current guitars and try lower $ changes first like pickups/ tuners, and at the same time experiment with pickup hieght /string action and listen to how it affects tone, once you can hear and appreciate subtle tonal diferences then go to a big store and play some 2,5,7 and 10 thousand dollar guitars and see the differences. i always try and think about the neck too and i think it took me too long to subjectively know what i liked and didn't like about most guitars. prs are good for the diferent necks to wide fat wide thin narrow ect. also r8 r9 r0. i'd want to have a really good idea of what i wanted in a guitar before i traded 2 that i had atachment to. that being said i've bought a couple historics now online and i think they are all capable of being great guitars.....
