I'm not too sure how close that is to my 1224 circuit ........but.......if it is... one GREAT mod is to get the overdrive linked to the Master volume.
It means that the "clean" gain can be turned up to the right gig volume and then you can crank the overdrive to suit but tame the output of the overdrive with the Master knob.....this balances the clean and overdriven sounds....A simple pushbutton can be added so that it reverts back to the Master linked to both Gain and Overdrive should you want to crank the gain and tame that with the Master.

The overdrive isn't footswitchable on my one (yet), but I was thinking about getting it done. What you're talking about there would be a nice refinement. I tend not to channel switch, but it would be nice to have the facility, I'll talk to Jeff.

Another great Mod is to have the inputs switchable.....a simple Led coupler does it, and then you can tweak the difference between Hi and Lo input with a resistor to get it right for you.
It means you can go from a really clean sound to a nice crunch just by switching Inputs with a footswitch.

Can't actually tell the difference in gain between Hi and Lo on this one. They're just voiced differently. I'll have a look inside to see what's going on with that later.

By the way......if you were to ring the factory on Xmas Day........Jeff would be in working! He does every year! I didn't believe him until I rang!! He said it's the only time he gets peace to catch up with the cabinets!

The guy that lent me a 1224 a few weeks back pops in to see Jeff on Christmas Day most years. He's a legend isn't he?

Will be having a cabinet built as soon as the finances recover from the amp purchase.
