On my fathers side, one of my ancestors came across with Hernando Cortez. After pillaging central America he decided to settle down in Cuba. Nothing more interesting happened until they fled Cuba when Castro took over and settled in Tampa, Fl. They were a line of cigar makers up until recently. On my mothers side, we can trace our roots back to the mid 1700's where one of my ancestors was hung for being a pirate ( a lousy one at that!
) They now control a good portion of the Port of San Juan... but alas my branch of the family tree have become outcasts and are not party to that fortune.
