You are right about the price. I have/had both Slash's...the slash standard neck is too thin for me. This VOS is extremely nice..neck is perfect for me and the sound is excellent. the body...a little boring. I had an r8 that couldn't hold up to the VOS at all so it got returned. The vos is over priced about a grand and that is why it is getting sold.
I did just get a 56 goldtop vos with p90's and it is damn nice...not twice as nice though. if the slash vos weren't taking up so much of my guitar money I would keep it.
