I have told this story before, but for those of you that haven’t heard it.
I had a guitar shipped to me by Delta Dash Package Service.
The same day, in fact the total transaction was just over 5 hours
from the time I paid for the guitar, until I was home with it.
The story goes like this;
I went to the bank when it opened, and wire transferred the money
to a bank in Texas. I went home and waited to hear from the seller.
About 45 minutes after I got home, the seller called and said his bank
confirmed the transfer, and he was at the Delta Airlines “Delta Dash”
counter and gave me the “Airbill Number”. I went on to the Delta
Website and found the tracking information, which gave me the flight
number and arrival time in Philly. A half hour before the flight arrived,
I went to Philly International and found the Delta Dash counter and
checked in. I watched the monitor and saw the flight number change
from “On Time”, to “Arrived”, to “At Gate”. About a half hour after the
plane was at the gate, a cart was pulled up to the counter, and there was
the guitar. The best experience I have ever had shipping a guitar, but you
need a willing seller, the time to go to the airport, and of course a package
service airport near both of you. This was about 5 years ago, and the cost
was under $150.00.

I'll check into this.............sounds like I will never have another guitar shipped any other way!
