Caps being gounded to the back of the pot is not my favourite, i think they color the sound alot more if you put them from volume-pot -> tone-pot
If i had a Epiphone i would enlarge the holes for the pots so that they would fit CTS pots and get some nice PIO caps with the CTS 500kOhm audio taper pots.

I guess your Epiphone is made in Korea?
My little brothers has Chinese made ones and the electronics are crap IMO.
