I suppose I could muddle my way through it. Funny thing...there's only 1 guitar part. The other guitar player wants to do this song. I suppose I could just sit it out.
(But then again, he really brings in some off the wall stuff. He wanted to do Kid Charlamagne by Steely Dan one night...I think to be honest he'd rather be in a jazz ensemble sometimes. He picks stuff not based on if it's going to be something people want to hear, but rather stuff he'd just like to play from a challenge perspective. (ie, "I want to play this song because there's a difficult part here"). He's NOT a big fan of 3 or 4 chord rock songs...at all....
As for me...I've come to grips with the reality that you could play something like "Mony Mony", "Addicted to Love" or yes..."Sweet Home Alabama" and it's going to get a much better reaction than some musician tackling a really tough piece in a bar on a Saturday night.
