Well I figured I would chime back in on this topic. I changed out the brand new orange drop caps(.022) I just put in, for 2 vintage Bumblebee's (.018).
HOLY

what a difference. The problem I was having (earlier in this thread) is now gone.
I can use both of my tone knobs anywhere from 0-10 and it is smooooth. No more OFF and ON, HARSH and MUDDY with the tone knob.
One of them tested out at .017, that one is in the bridge. The other was .015, I put that in the neck. That is where I mostly play at. It is brighter at 0 then before.
I don't think the orange drops are bad, but they are no vintage cap. Since I changed my pots at the same time I installed the orange drops. I don't know what made the difference. I got a better brighter tone. I just don't know from what. The orange drop caps (.022) or the CTS pots (500k).
