Yeah, I think feedback has more to do with your proximity to your amplifier than anything, as far as semi-hollow bodies are concerned. I've gigged with a 335 Dot Deluxe with Duncan '59s(as a second guitar for Dropped-D) for the past two years and haven't heard so much as a single squelch.
However, fully-hollow bodied guitars(both electric and acoustic) tend to squeal like a stuck pig when played at club volume or higher. I had to retire my Kingston fully-hollow bodied electric when we started playing bigger shows.
