WRONG! It's actually quite the oppisite! With the economy still in the shitter, I'm pretty sure that people could think of more important things to do with $80k. Even '59-'60 Standard prices have gone WAY down.

I wish him the best of luck anyway though.
Wellin theory there never has been a better time to invest ina vintage guitar. With prices at rock bottom or near enough when/if they climb again it's a good investment piece.
