Destructive?
I guess if thats how you want to look at it. I see it as a MAJOR improvement. At worst it doesn't affect the value in the least, however, i'm sure it would at least add the value of what the inlays sell for to the selling price.
Now if I would have routed them for a kahler trem, that's another story.
Regardless, after you do this to your guitars, on your own, they become that much more a part of you. I'll never sell them. (and let's say I ever do, I'm quite sure this mod won't hurt the value in the least) just my 2c though.
But, you raise a fair quesiton, I'm curious to hear what others think?
