If you can't get a local vocal coach (which I highly suggest) you can try this:

I've had vocal training from 8 years old until high school. I was an all-state tenor my senior year, and probably could have done more with my voice had I gone to college right out of high school. Unfortunately, my Dad didn't support the "artsy fartsy" stuff so much, so I joined the Air Force instead.

I still sing in church and in any bands I play in--high harmony is my specialty, and I have a built in ability to match the singer's timbre and vibrato. I could be better if I trained more--just too lazy.

Oh--I sing our National Anthem at occasional events, as well.
