I own a Gibson Les Paul Vintage Mahogany, and I swear by that guitar. To me I wouldn't trade that guitar for any other. The sound to my ears is incredible. If you can play one and then play on an elitest, and then buy what you feel sounds the best. Don't buy one based on what some one said, we all have are favorites. Best of luck on your decision.
