This photo shows two different sheets of cream plastic from WD Music. The sheet on the right is an older sheet which is a very close match to the color of the Vintage Clone pickguards. The sheet on the left is a newer piece of cream plastic which is much more yellow in color. This piece represents the material that WD currently has in stock.
In this photo, pickguard 1 is a Vintage Clone, 2 & 4 are (obviously) Historic, 3 is a lightly aged guard that I made from the older WD material, and 5 is an unaged guard I made from the older WD material.
This photo shows the contrast in colors
Here is my R7 and CR8 sporting a pair of Fatboy Rings and homemade guards made from the older WD material.
Here's my 2005 Murphy with Fatboy rings, poker chip, and Retrovibe pickguard compared with a 1960 Burst #0-0268
