VERY wise choice on strings. I run Elixer 10's on all of my Les Pauls (the nanowebs). They stay crisp and grunge free, and always sound great.
Also - congrats on the new guitar! Studios are without a doubt the best bang for your buck out there - and white is the classiest looking solid color for a Les Paul. I have a couple myself.
Elixers run me about $12 USD - I don't know what that is in Oz, but they are definitely "pricey." Well worth it though, in my opinion.
