I traced my 1990 '59 Flametop Reissue for the body dimensions and then compared it to my R8. (I just couldn't bring myself to drag a pencil around that guitar.) I used my R8 as a guide for the neck.
I tried to show the tools in the pictures because after they split the top, the shop teachers at my school asked me for updates. I made them a PowerPoint to bore their construction tech class with.
It was late when I answered your first question so IF I left anything out I apologize. My dad left me a ton of tools and specialized drill bits and the like when he died. He used to buy things and never use them so I've tried to put them to good use. I don't even know the names of some of the things. For example, there is a set of bits that look like a oversized car valve with a sharp lip. He had the size for the jack plate whole, the switch plate whole, etc.
What I didn't have I either borrowed or rented.
