Bridge/Saddle set up

I was reading thru a guitar repair book and it said for maximun tone and sustain to adjust the height of the saddle high enough so the strings dont touch the rear edge of the bridge. Keeping the angle as sharp as possible

I can get it set up that ways for the ADGB strings but no matter what I do the E's are hitting Due to the arch in the Top. Only way to do it is to raise the saddle way up on a negitive break. (above the bridge)

Sounds like a crock of crappola to me.

How are your break angles in compared to strings touching the rear of the bridge
