I went from all Explorers to a mix of Explorers, 335's and LP shaped guitars but overall I personally just think Explorers feel, sound and play better. Seems they are back to my #1 spots again gigging.
I have 2 R8's and I'm trying to gauge how much sustain I really should be getting. I know that sustain total varies between guitars and is dependent on multiple factors. Maybe my expectations are too high; I certainly cannot get a bite and come back and still hear them ringing out.
I'm building a really basic home recording studio just to have a little fun for $250-$300 and share my music with friends. I have a pretty good understanding on everything I need minus what kind of computer itself I need.
Gibson has somehow managed to leak its own 2019 line-up – on its own website. The details for most of next year’s models have all been listed over the weekend, and there are some pleasant surprises amongst the plethora of models.
Seems everyone was super excited at the idea of Gibson coming out with these new Brazilian Les Pauls. They were even white hot for a moment last year when supply was low, but I'm seeing them pop up used in record numbers. Are these things duds or what?
Got an email today from Bonamassa saying to watch his Bona-Zeppelin rendition of a couple songs. Get over your pretentious Bona self!!! I like your playing, met you, seen you play a bunch of times and even bought one of your personal guitars...
